Will my number be shared?

Only with the one business you message, and only because WhatsApp shows it to them. It is not sold, and it does not go to anyone else.

What if I have a bad experience?

Tell me. How verification works explains what happens next, including when a listing gets suspended.

Why is there only one business listed?

Because an enquiry that reaches one business gets answered. The same enquiry sent to eight gets ignored by all of them.
